I am happy to report that the Louisville Feis contained their Bling Level. There were of course many sparkling stressors but in comparison with some of the Chicago and Milwaukee feiseanna I have been to, it was easy on the eyes. Every now and then a few crystal-cluttered dresses flashed by but I was ready for them and simply looked away like one is instructed to do during a solar eclipse. I very much enjoyed meeting up with many Liffey Rivers readers and particularly with one who had read the first book: Liffey Rivers and the Mystery of the Sparkling Solo Dress Crown, when it was first published in 2006.
This lovely young lady told me she had never given her Liffey Rivers books away. Like Wendy from Peter Pan, she was all grown up now.
